No doubt in my life I had many times of “Oops I did It Again…” How great would it be if I can just take back those words or redo that 5K run or showing up for an event I committed to. If I could I am not sure that I would change it.
It has been a year of ups and downs no doubt. Closing the year with the sadness that hit us home of Sandy’s Hurricane and Sandy Hook. These are lessons deeper than me as a human with a heart and soul I know that I can never understand. What I do know, however, is that sometimes I make decisions that are not beneficial to loving me.
I have found it very difficult especially in this past year to be able to maintain healthy patterns. I’m a business owner, a parent, married, and filled with old habits that catch me by surprise –especially when in need of comfort. Where does that leave me? Reaching for my cleanse. When I think of Joulebody, I think of change, starting over, and empowering myself by taking control. It’s like any one that creates a new product. I imagine when Chanel made her signature tweed jacket with pyramid studs she was looking for the go to jacket. The one she would grab to make her feel and look good, yet fashionable and noticeable. That to me is my cleanse.
Did you know that dieting is a 20 billion dollar industry? Or that there are over 100 million dieters and we are still the fattest nation. That is probably because they are not learning, just doing. Our long-time partners know we set out to teach and it’s a hard lesson. Like it’s not ok to drink 3 cups of coffee a day, every day. I set out to teach that habits may not go away forever, but we can take control. With the JB cleanse we teach how to eat several times a day and how to eat fresh, clean ingredients. We prove that you can exercise, eat light and still feel great.
The stories I’ve had the opportunity to hear from our partners that have experienced the cleanse on their uplifted energy level, their clearer skin, and my favorite the letting go of habits that were draining. These are all great things that we learn about ourselves and the only way we were able to learn it is by actually experiencing it.
I’ve learned that life is happening the way it’s supposed to. That the good stuff only happens because I know what the bad stuff felt like. I know how great I feel when I do right by me. That means allowing myself to not be so rigid, be forgiving, and know that I can get back up when I fall.
Happy New Year.
To The New You. And the New Earth.
